Using the FreeFoil Shape Library and extensive wind tunnel testing, Specialized engineered a frame that is 33 seconds faster over 40km than the previous Tarmac SL6. The new Expert model achieves this speed without compromise through optimized tube shapes and rigorous validation. Weight was equally important to the design philosophy. Rather than the traditional trade-off between aerodynamics and weight, the Tarmac frame weighs just 920 grams while maintaining full aerodynamic efficiency, stiffness, and ride quality—all while staying at or below the UCI weight limit out of the box.
